Who is The Dog Show Network?

We’re dog people just like you! Below you will find a short biography about us.

Bob and Pam Lambie

The first AKC dog we owned was a Mastiff in 1978. Our interest in learning about Mastiffs and dog shows grew. Not long after Pam and I joined Kachina Kennel Club in Phoenix (Glendale), Arizona. At that time Working and Herding were one Group. After starting with Mastiffs Bob became interested in Whippets while attending a Lure Coursing event with Ralph Pikop (then President of Kachina Kennel Club and a licensed Lure Judge). Over the years we have bred and owned various different breeds as there were four of us with different breed interests.

We have 2 daughters (Amber and Audra). Both were successful Jr. Handlers and Conformation Handlers. One is a licensed AKC Junior Showmanship Judge. Growing up in the sport allowed them many opportunities. They learned to be gracious competitor, skilled handlers and garnered many special friends.

Through out the years we have enjoyed being able to have our family around while making a living. We enjoyed watching our handling class students achieve success through sharing our knowledge and their hard work.

We were active members of Kachina Kennel Club (Glendale, AZ) including Show Chairman for nearly 6 years when the entries were between 2,500 – 3,000. We were founding members of the Rocky Mountain Mastiff Fanciers with Bob and Barbra Webb and were member of the Mastiff Club of America. Currently, we are members of the American Whippet Club, Vizsla Club of America and Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States.

Pam has been showing dogs professionally for more then 20 years. Pam has judged Top 20 at national specialties. We have judged numerous sanctioned matches. We have taught confirmation handling for years and still do so. We’ve attended seminars on many breeds, breeding, movement and handling. We have mentored AKC judges. We were licensed Australian Shepherd Judges before they were AKC recognized.

We have owned boarding and grooming shops. And were members of P.H.A. for a number of years. I have written Kennel Management Software and this website is my latest undertaking in the "Dog World" with my Good Friends Ken and Connie Williams. We hope to bring the community together to do great things for Dogs.

And broken down the road once or twice.

Ken and Connie Williams

Ken and Connie’s involvement “in dogs” began with Connie in 1978 at the age of 16 when she worked at a grooming shop whose owner bred St. Bernards. One day the owner asked if she wanted to go to a dog show with her to help out, she was hooked from the first show! She continued to tag along with her mentor for the next couple years helping her show her St. Bernards. Unfortunately her now friend moved across the country ending her involvement in showing for a few years. After the grooming shop was closed Connie went to work at a kennel were they showed and bred Mini Schnauzers and Lakeland Terriers, she was the kennels “pet” groomer but also helped to strip and groom the show dogs.

Ken became involved after their marriage in 1986 when Connie decided to get back involved and drug Ken along for the ride. They went on a search for a breed that they could both enjoy and would fit into their lives that they could show and breed. They fell in love with the Weimaraner and purchased their first show dog, a male puppy in 1987 and shortly after an 18 month old bitch that was their foundation. They bred their first litter in 1990, their last in 2003; they have bred and finished numerous Weimaraner Champions, bred four Best in Show winners and have shown 5 of the dogs they bred to Top 10 status. Connie worked as a Handler’s assistant learning the trade then as a Professional Handler finishing many dogs and campaigning several to Top 10 status. Connie stopped handling for a few years but continued to show their own dogs on a limited basis. They retired from showing dogs mid 2007 but by mid 2009 Connie missed it so has now come back to once again enjoy the sport as a Professional Handler.

Ken and Connie currently belong to The Weimaraner of America as well as The Southland Weimaraner Club. In the past they were very active members of The Kennel Club of Beverly Hills where Ken held several different positions over the years including Vendor Chair and Show Chair. They were also active members of Lake Mathews Kennel Club for a number of years. Both have judged many sanctioned All-Breed and Specialty matches and have attended and given many breed seminars. The Weimaraner Club of America’s Judges Education PowerPoint presentation was drafted from one Ken and Connie made originally.
